Laelia furfuracea has 3 to 5 lavender-lilac to rose pink 3 inch flowers usually blooming from November to December. The flowers are long-lived and mildly fragrant. It is a compact grower found only in Oaxaca, Mexico and is a hardy, temperature tolerant species growing at 6,000 - 8,000 ft elevations. We grow it with our Cattleyas, 3000 foot candles, intermediate temps and a short winter rest. These are mature blooming size divisions.
