Oncidium ampliatum is found throughout Central America and northern South America countries from sea level to 3500 foot elevations. The compact orchid has pseudobulbs that are flattened and look like turtle shells. The inflorescence is quite tall for the plant, often up to 4 feet with many smaller bright yellow flowers and a disproportionately large lip. We grow ours at intermediate temps, 50F to 90F and 1800 to 2400 foot candles of light and a short winter rest. These are near blooming size. Normally $24 this is reduced 25%. Sale ends April 30,2017
