Encyclia stellata

Encyclia stellata
Encyclia stellata, meaning star like, is not commonly found in collections or in the trades, aka gravida. It has a diminutive flower about 1 1/2 inches and has a very pleasing fragrance. Native to Central America in lowland dry forests it grows in intermediate to warm temps with light requirements of 1800 to 2400 foot candles. It does not require a winter rest but a reduction in water and fertilizer. These are blooming size divisions of our mother plant.
